Gen 1 DB9- Highest Mileage Cars

2005 DB9 owner here. Mine doesn't compete with only 27,xxx miles. I've owned it 4.5 years and put ~4200 miles/year.

I would like to hear about the experience of high miles DB9 owners. What are you seeing? How is everything holding up? What advice would you give us <50K miles owners?

Thanks in advance.

2007 DB9 6SPD Manual. 36,000 miles. Leaving Sunday for an 1,100 mile road trip. I do 1-3 per year. Have owned the car from about 8,000 miles or so.
I"ll be driving to our place in Chapel Hill in August. Perhaps we should connect and compare mileage then.

2010 DB9 Volante. 34k miles, avg 1-3k miles per year. Purchased with 15k miles in 2016.

Even including the ignition coil packs, plugs and pcv replacement at 31k miles, and a new top (back window unglued) it’s been a great just startup and go experience.

Less hassle than my 2015 bmw wagon, thats constantly throwing check engine light and service messages. 😂

Hi Scott - sorry about the emission code. FWIW, on my car I started having issues which went away when I fixed the intermittent contact in the connectors to the LHS ECU. Basically the wiring loom hangs down from the connector and was pulling out of the pins. Once I forced them back into place and secured the loom so the wiring wasn't in tension them problems went away...

I haven't pulled the code yet, but I suspect it is low pressure emission error. I need to pull it. Unfortunately the last thing I haven't tried is a new gas cap - but it is $300 on scuderia, and unavailable. I have tried finding an alternative gas cap from Land Rover, Volvo, Jag or Ford without success - if any one knows the equal part number - please let me know. Thinking about changing license plate to "CEL". I didn't mean to jujack the thread. Other than the constant CEL, car has behaved for the 43K miles since I bought it 3 years ago at 33K miles. I really need to drive it more.
