Hey guys I hope I'm posting in the right spot...
I just bought a 2013 V8V and I noticed right away that the only way to get it to move in Drive/Reverse is to give it some gas. This is not like any car I've ever bought before! It's kind of scary having to give it gas when reversing or starting.

I guess my question is, is this normal for these cars?

 

It's normal for your car, and it's not an automatic. Sport Shift 1 has crawl feature. SS II does not.

FWIW you really do not want it to "crawl" since this would cause significant clutch slippage and wear. Remember it is not an automatic but a manual gearbox with electrohydraulic activation.
