Aftermarket Brake Pads and Rotors V8 Vantage

2006 V8 Vantage ... 20,500 miles, all stock, 3 pedal.

No track use or plans for track use.

I need to replace pads (@3mm) ... Considering rotors also but the thickness checks okay for now.

Many non-OEM pads to choose from. I saw Brembo, Pagid, Hella and others.

What success / suggestions / warnings have you had with non OEM pads and rotors?

Thanks ....

i;ve had the EBC or Centric semi metallic pads on now for 10,000 miles (three years). no squeal, no dust, no problems. got them on ebay for practically nothing.

I have Porterfield RS-4 pads on original rotors... have about 31k miles. No squeal, good grip, long wearing so far, virtually dustless ... don't get track pads.

I also had Porterfield R4-S pads on mine. I replaced the rotors, hub bearings, and pads all at once. To be honest, I didn't see any reduction in dust from the old pads. And they still squealed, especially at low speeds coming to a stop. I could never get the right rear corner to quiet down. But the braking performance was excellent. Others have had better experience with them.

I have Porterfield RS-4 pads on original rotors... have about 45k miles. No squeal, good grip, long wearing so far, virtually dustless. [sorry for the copy LOL]

There is significantly reduced grip over the factory Pagid pads, but the dust is so extreme with the Pagid, for the street they're fine.

I attached a screenshot of the part numbers, prices paid, and source for when I replaced my brakes last Fall. I've been very happy with all of it.

I put a set of EBC reds and had to take them out because the squealing was worse than a teenager in a Taylor Swift concert.
