Power Windows Switch

I miss having "one touch" power windows for both sides and in both directions. There are aftermarket electronic modules available, and I suspect it might also be possible to reverse the wiring to the motors so that the switch works logically (i.e. up is up, down is down).

Has there ever been a version of the driver's side window switch that did not contain the one-touch feature? I'm not sure how the one-touch OEM feature would affect an aftermarket module. Using a switch w/o that feature (which I have done in a previous car) would eliminate any question of compatibility.

If you are going to reverse the direction of the switches, I would change the wiring at the switch rather than the motor, The automatic drop and raise when you are opening/closing the door wouldn't work very well with the wiring reversed at the motor!

Changing the wiring on these window switches has been on my “to do” list for quite some time

Yup, reversing the wires at the motor would screw-up the automatic window dip and seal when the doors are opened/closed, so that was never under consideration. PhuketPaul, I'm glad you posted that, just in case someone was inspired to do this but forgot about that feature.
