Hi,
I have standard master light switch 8D33-11654-AB without automatic mode. Each time I need to remember to switch on light because I am obliged to do it in my country. When I stop engine, buzzer reminds me to switch it off.
I would like to upgrade switch to automatically switch on lights when engine is running and switch off when stopped.
I noticed that there is a switch DG43-11654-BA which have additional Automatic mode. I hope that installing this switch will solve my problem. Am I right? Maybe this switch use light sensor and switch on lights when it is dim outside?
Could you recommend me working solution? It can be additional light module.
Pin 6 on the headlamp switch is wired to the CEM for cars with auto headlamps. For my 2007 with standard headlamps there is no wire in that position on the diagrams. Even If the wire were there it looks like you would also need the rain/light sensor in the windshield (and 2013+ windshield) and coding by AMDS to support both. The car config supports Canadian DRL, but also requires AMDS to configure.
I had special ordered a new Vantage in 2007 with headlights on as part of an Aston Works upgrade. They charged me $500. Later on I realized they used the Canadian switch.
