Will an updated (2012-17) CRM make my top operate faster?

Hi All: Following installation of a new clutch some months back (the shop disconnected the battery - I forget WHY they did so) and that action resulted in my soft top not working. Long, tedious process ensued to include replacing the Convert Roof Module, located with the RR wheel area. The orginal one was tested repeatedly and was deemed NG (NO good). I was able to obtain a used CRM from a fellow Forum member but it was from an '06, or ' 07 I believe and once installed, does work.
My question is: would a newer CRM make the top operate at a faster rate? Or should I just be damn happy that the top works at all? LoL
Agreed - it's a first world problem for sure. That said, can any Forum member provide some insight? TIA! Tom

You should be glad it's working, they all work at the same speed regardless of new or old.
