In other words: don't expect things that can't be done.

I think the S5 is a great car. But dont like how Audi does things. If you build this car you cant have the Tech Pkge wo the 2300 DOLLAR Nav system which is WAY overpriced for a NAV unit and its not even Voice Command for other options in the car. Like Hondas and other Japanesse Cars. The sunroof is a ????....I got a price on a 3yr lease 10k miles a year w 2900 out of pocket its 988.00 a month thats with the stupid 1300 for Gas Guzzler and 795 Dest Charge and the MF was .00303 and Residual 58%. I just dont understand Audi. Like I said the car is awesome and these are just the kind of stupid things from Audi. The price of the car is about 7k to 10k overpriced but even that you should be able to lease this car for 750 800 a month. The cars nice but at that price i dont know

Not 'they', only Steve mentions the understeer. What I mean is that the heavy understeer Steve felt probably was a result of his driving style (taking corners way harder than any other person does (NOFI)).

Very suprised to hear that it is underpowered. I was so into this car when the first artist rendition pics were released. Finaly closed this chapter when I saw the rear quater and rear view, something didn't look right. Anyone else feel this way about the rear of the body?

I have not driven one yet but a couple of observations about the above posts. I don't understand how you can call the car "underpowered". It has 350 hp and 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. That sounds reasonably quick to me. I think that the car is clearly underpowered when you compare it to an E55 and an SL55 but both of those cars are a very different price point. The new M3 is going to be at least $10k more expensive and won't have all wheel drive. A different car. A Cayman S 0'60 is 4.9, a 911 is around 4.5. Do you consider both of them underpowered? Obviously I'm an Audi fan and I should drive the car before I develop too strong of an opinion...

I saw a post somewhere were they got it to 4.5 0 - 60 which i believe you can do with a pefect launch w the awd.
Just too much money for the car and a 1000k a month lease not worth it even though i love the car
