I think people who mod need to have some sort of goal for all of those mods, i.e, racing on weekends, etc... To mod a car that is in small production, not to mention demanding premiums is like flushing those dollars down the toilet. You would be better off buying a dedicated car for your weekend fun and leaving it alone. If Audi didn't do a good enough job with a car like the R8 out of the box then you need to look elsewhere. I am not talking about exhaust, but anything else IMO is a sin. Drive it for what it is! If you want to mod a Pcar, or something its your money but I am not impressed by any amount of cash used for aftermarket parts. I have seen it all and it wears off quick. There are few used cars I would ever buy, but if there was even a hint of tinkering I would run not walk away.

V12 TDI,now thats a great car,big power,low gas mileage, sounds like a winner to me.

 

I personally do not think there is anything wrong with modding car companies can only push so far for liability purposes. Like Pcars have lots of untapped power becuase porsche will not sell a car full potential for various reasons.I do not think buying a modded car is the problem its buying it from the one that doesnt keep the paper work and good records
