UPDATE:
Car is on the rack with a prototype being worked on as we speak:
Here's Ron, and our mandrel pipe bender:
Look at all that stainless pipe looking for a new home!
STOCK dyno sheet. Much like the RS4, this car appears to dyno low. We use a correction factor of 1.28 to determine crank power.
HP = 258 wheel
TQ = 252 wheel
x 1.28
It will be interesting to look at these numbers more. However, when we dyno the prototype, remember that dynoing really means nothing without before and after... it's all about the delta, or change in performance.
Regardless of peak numbers, we'll be able to look at the actual, real power changes that our exhaust makes
More to come...

exhaust VIDEO
Wow, we are really fast workers.
In a mere few minutes, I have another update for you:
PROTOTYPE exhaust is on the car now. And it sounds amazing. Note this is only the catback portion. Downpipes come next....
I am really pleased with our fabrication and engineering departments here, as usual, especially with this being their first crack at the S5. Just look at the power gains we are seeing already:
-14 wheel hp (~18 crank corrected)
-9 wheel tq (~12 crank corrected)
Well done boys.

Holy crap, that sounds aggressive.
So, the audi's dynoing low, do they over rate their hp? No way 258 at the wheels equals 354 at the crank. Those numbers lead me to believe this car won't out perform my 350Z, I hope I'm wrong.

Several magazines have tested the car at under 5sec 0-60 and low 13s in the 1/4. Those numbers are actually quite impressive considering the curb weight etc...
Expect even faster times after engine break-in.

Agreed, car is quite quick especially considering weight. It still needs more power though
The exhaust sounds delicious. I can't wait until we have downpipes on!
More to come....

Thanks.
Hasn't been set yet, as we are still developing and need a true idea of actual materials used.
I can tell you that it will be competitive with the other offerings in the market.
If you are interested, please send us an email - sales@awe-tuning.com - and we can get you on the no obligation waiting list.
It's the only way you'll get a system on the next run, as I already have several backorders!
Have a great evening guys.

The Green line is our exhaust, the red line is the stock exhaust.
Notice how the green line is consistently higher than the red line = we are making more power vs. stock.
Am I understanding your question correctly?
Thanks!

UPDATE - catback with Downpipes - video!
Update:
We've just completed downpipe prototyping and testing.
Unfortunately, what we thought were main cats in the OEM downpipes turned out to be little resonators. Once we discovered that, we knew that there would not be huge gains from replacement downpipes. We prototyped a set of 2.5" diameter ones (larger than stock) and for all intents and purposes, there were no significant gains.
Dynosheet of our catback vs our downpipes with our catback:
However, the addition of the downpipes really woke up the sound even more, and I think this combination will satisfy S5 owners looking for a very aggressive tone. We will most likely offer the downpipes as an add on option to our catback. That allows owners to install our catback, determine if they want more sound volume and a meaner tone, and if so then order and add our downpipes.
Here is a quick VIDEO comparing our catback to our catback and downpipes:
