Audi R8 availability

The car is growing on me. Is there a long waiting list? Should I just contact my local dealer? Thanks for any advice!

very long waiting list unless you are willing to spend a good amount over list price, but you should stop by your dealer and hear what they have to say as it does vary a bit from region to region

Thanks. Will do. Sorry for the newbie question but is the R8 suppose to be limited to 08 only or do you guys expect it will be available for a few years?

Thanks

I'm sure it's going to be around for a few years. They're currently developing R8's with different engines. You may not see the V8 R8 around for awhile, but surely you'll still see the R8.

Most dealers are quoting 2 year wait if you want to pay MSRP

Yeah cause there asking 30K+ over. If it was sticker or even 10K over it would be gone by now.

There are R8's around SoCal. There's one on the floor at Pacific Audi. Ask for Amir, he sold me my RS4. He's a great guy and give you a deal.

It will be around for a while. The 2009 order guide is out but I am not sure if dealers are taking orders yet.

Some unsold cars have been had for a little over MSRP but it depends on the location. Definitely no bargains to be found in SoCal. The V10 is coming soon and this will probably open up V8 allocations as people move over to the C10 wait lists.

honestly,

there are more r8's sitting in dealerships then there are on the streets and this is since Dec. I almost bought into one because I loved the way it looked and it drove pretty nice, but it didn't have the ***** it needed for a 30k markup.

I think with our worst economy ever (whether it affects the rich or not) this car will not get the dealer hikes.

I'm gonna wait until the V10 or other engine drops.
I also think people will be very angry if a newer/bigger engine comes out within 4 years.
