New RS6 coming to US?
#2
I believe that they will debut the A6 facelift and the rs6 sedan at the same time. I cant imagine them not bringing that version over to these shores. Expensive, gas guzzling, twin turbo v10 sedan its practically made for the USA

but isnt gas like $8-10 in europe ?

yessss...there is also no shortage of rich people either, which the the rs6 is obviously targeted at.
What does 8-10 dollar per gallon gas in europe have to do with the RS6 reaching the US? Yes I know that we are in a state of economical distress with gas costing half as much as it does on the other side of the pond , but I highly doubt that is going to stop the wealthy from purchasing ridiculously awesome cars...so I am confused at your confusion

I don't think they could sell more than a few hundred of them, and for the costs to get a car on the road here, it may not be worth the trouble or expense for Audi. Just like we don't get the RS4 avant.
Probably better for my bank account if they don't bring it over anyway.
Does anyone have experience in importing cars like that - models that the OEM didn't officially release here?

From what I hear VW AG won't be bringing the RS6 here to the states.........in addition to several other automobiles.......due to a continuing weakening dollar compared to the euro.

Right now, the new RS6 is only planned as an avant and is not slated to come to the US. I think that if Audi builds a sedan version, there is a good change we will see it in the US. If it remains avant-only, I think our chances of getting the car are just about zero.

Damn shame, I figured it might be like the last time, where they only brought the sedan. I only really want the avant, pisses me off they won't send us the RS4 avant too.
How hard is it to import an RS6 avant as an individual? What kind of hoops do you have to jumps thru to get it on the road?
