since ive had an Audi before my E39 M5

i would say a well mod'd S4 should keep up with an M5 from 0-80mph

but once the M5 is going, it'll pull over pretty much any B5 S4, unless its got K04's or something

since ive got a couple buddies ith RS4 turbo'd S4's

but drivetrain loss is a b!tch above 100mph

I know a guy with a Stage 3 B5 S4 he's pretty damn fast he basically hangs with Z06's and 997 turbos so I'm sure an E39 M5 is not a problem. But even though it's faster I'd rather have the M5.
