The scary part is that our dealer just bought one from Audi Direct. I'll let you know how well this color really moves. We've sold a ton of CPO RS4s the last few months, but they've all been colors like Sprint Blue, Phantom Black and Daytona Gray.

We're asking $55k Certified. Not too shabby. This is 1 of 2 Glut Orange ones ever built.

There is at least 4 glut orange RS4s in the US (2 07s, 2 08s, 2 with Ti package), perhaps even more as the Registry hasn't been updated for the last few months. I almost bought one (08 with Ti package) barely used from Stoddart Porsche last winter, but passed. It took them a while to sell it, along with a price concession not seen much at that time given the RS4 sales were strong (M3/C63/IS-F) weren't quite out. Granted, the car was $7K more expensive than other RS4s due to custom paint and interior.
The Glut Orange is off the Murcielago paint charts. IMO, too strong for the RS4. What looks cool on the RS4 is the Papaya Orange (the old TT color). Riverside Audi had it for 11 months before they could dispose of it. I was ready to buy it back in Nov when they had it (Ti package, but not Audi Exclusive interior), but at the time they even dared ask for 1K over sticker because of how "exclusive' it was . They played hard ball, and as a result after several months I ended up buying the Sprint Ti which I adore. They kept on calling for months on end afterwards, and ultimately sold it with over a 12K discount nearly a yr sitting in their show room.
So conclusion is: very rare color, but also not everyones cup of tea. If you are leasing it, you don't have to worry about resale value. But if you plan to buy it, just allow yourself time (and perhaps a concession) when it comes to selling it because it will take time to find someone that is as orange crazy as you are!
