R8 V10 Unveiled

Prices start at 142,000 Euro (+- 183,000$) without taxes, with dealer markup that will probably be over 200k...I can get a used Superleggera, for less, and perhaps by that time it will be within a used 560-4 range, I dont see this out performing either...

It wont outperform either, for sure. But as we both know, performance isn't everything.
I also don't see this car selling for over $200K, though.
At $180K, I would take this over an LP560 for $250K.

This car will almost certainly be on par or faster than both in everything except straight line acceleration, but even that will be close. A member of Lambopower got to drive a V10 mule and did 0-60 on vbox in 3.7 on his second try. Based on the numbers that Audi gave, I'd say it's nearly as fast. They say 3.9 0-100, 12 0-200, and we know those are conservative. The LP560 claim was 11.8 0-200, so we are talking very similar performance.
Also, don't forget that the suspension of the R8 is superior. It tends to lose lap time battle based on power, and that is being remedied. We've seen it outperform cars with far more power and less weight, so this should be exactly what's needed. Weight only increased 60 lbs as well.
As for price, you can't do Euro to USD conversions. The USD R8 was priced almost identical to the Euro R8, even when the rate was damn near 1.5. Just like all other cars, expect to see nearly relative pricing.
And no, you can't get a good LP560 for anything close to that. The one I tested, which lacked stuff that I wanted, had an MSRP of $250K+. The SL on the other hand may be pretty close to an optioned R8 V10, but tests have shown the LP560 to be superior to the SL, so I imagine the R8 will be as well.

looks like a great car. though it can't really be compared to the Lamborghini because each car makes a different statement.
R8 has more class, conservative
Lambo is wild, in-your-face
the performance may be similar, but that's not the only thing you're paying for with these cars.

Finally, beast joins the beauty! With how much love the original got, this one should be a home-run! No reason it shouldn't be just as livable with on a day-to-day basis as the first, which is what people loved the most.

Here's something to think about also when comparing the R8, V10 and the Lambo.
The R8 is a awesome daily driver!!!! and I would assume the V10 will be also.
I wouldn't say that about the Lambo.

The R8 is going to be made along with the new R10. It will not be called R8 with a V10 badge!
The R8 will come down a bit in price and other variations of the R8 will hit the market as well.
This is Audi's way and its a good thing!!!
I am so glad I have the first one coming
And even happier I bought the RS4 instead of the R8 and put my money with the R10.
Now if they would only bring the RS6 to the states and drop the new RS4!
