B7 A4 Quattro: 2.0T vs. 3.2

Just wanted some input on the Pros & Cons of both. 20 year old college student here needing a fun/fast daily driver & I'm not sure which of the two would be best. I plan on doing some modding & tracking regardless of which I get. Any insight's greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The 2L definatly! I had an 06 Sline and did AWE X chip, DP and exhaust. Great sound, awsome torq. Much more fun with the 2L and cheaper. If you dont care about mods or are worried about warranty, go 3.2 its a great engine and fast from the box!!

If you're going to mod the car for additional straight line performance, I would stick with the 2.0T. The amount of readily available modifications for the 2.0T is much greater than the 3.2.

For the 2.0T you have a variety of exhausts, performance software, intercoolers, boost gauges and more already on the market. Feel free to browse our website for more info: http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...PPT=Drivetrain

Coming soon is our GT2871R Turbo Kit which will take horsepower to the neighborhood of 400 horsepower at the crank.

With the 3.2 you will be limited to an exhaust, maybe an intake and perhaps an ecu reflash.

As far as suspension/brake options, you will have plenty of options either way

No matter which way you decide to go, you will have a great car on your hands.

Awesome, sounds pretty convincing. Now the S-line model, is the only difference in the exterior styling, or is there some sort of performance upgrade over the regular?

I owned a b7 3.2 6-speed s-line and was not impressed by the engine. Seemed to struggle to redline and just didn't feel right. That said, it was great for road trips and was comfortable. I believe the 2.0 is much more tunable if you desire and will also net better gas mileage.

anyone correct me if im wrong, but there is no perf difference in an SLINE you just get diff front and rear bumpers, side skirts under the doors, brushed alumin inside, Sline badges, golf ball gear shift and steering wheel, diff wheels, 20mm lower suspension.

Yeah you get a different trunk as well, the design is slightly different, and the spoiler is different.

I had the Titanium package on my 07 and it made the world of difference. I did ecu, turbo back exhaust, diff turbo valve, K&N, coilover suspension, 19'' BBS, and a couple of other things, was a great car...for the most part.
