Hello to everyone here on the Audi section. I've been contemplating switching cars and to head towards something a little more practical without compromising power and handling.

Do any of you have real world exp with the RS6? I'm debating between the 6 and the 4?

I worked for Audi when that car came out and sold them used for years after...great car...great mod potential...classicly understated sleeper...kinda

 

I had a completely modified 01 S4 with almost every RS4 component & a fully built STASIS tranny. Great car - little things that break add up but overall GREAT 500hp sleeper. If I was to do it again I'd pick up a RS6 and just do a flash/exhaust and call it a day. That bumps it to ~520hp and makes an awesome DD. Gotta love V8 TT motors!

I'm also curious about exactly what people have done to the RS6. Turbo upgrades? Built motors?

I would think they have done alot of RS6

Lots of them here in Mpls (Since we have the highest volume Audi dealer in
the country). I have several friends that have the RS6 (2003 year),
Fantastic, understated car for all weather needs!

 

For the RS6 if you go that course I would look into MTM products or contact a tuner like EPL that can custom tune a car to what you would want.

 

+1. RS6 is the way to go. So much easyer to mod it then a RS4 or S4 if thats what you looking to do. I found it very hard to mod my S4.

 

Brain from group, you have any pics/vids ect of the claimed 70 RS6's you have built up? there i sless that 1000 o fthem around and that is pretty big claim that YOU have built them your self. Also what trans work have you done to them to make them hold up? Also are you the Brian from ICS at one time?

 

WOW 70 builds! I've seen a lot of RS6 builds over the years and am in your area. Wondering how many of them were yours? I know level 10 does the tranmission rebuilds. Most if not all of the cars I've seen have been basic flashes and exhaust. Anything above that and I hear there are tranmission issues.

Regardless 70 RS6's is a HUGE amount... I'm looking for one now and none of them are modded

 

level 10 has a bad track record with Audi trans, many people have had an documented the issue after with there upgraded trans work and TQ convertor, If you want trans work done right on an AUDI tip trasns call 517transhop in NJ. I had them upgrade/rebuild my TIP trans in my S4 and it is great,
