have there been any updates or potential release dates for a public version of the VF/AWE super charger? i am contemplating getting back into a b7 s4, and i am curious if the SC will be available in the near future...

 

i guess not... shame... i was looking forward to seeing these things out in the wild...

Im thinking about ordering a PES system in a couple of months. They say it makes 414 whp / 370 wtq

 

vf designed and is mfg them for awe... from what i understand they teamed up for this... however i just recall a bunch of betas out in the wild, but its been about a year and nothings come out yet for the rest of the world...

thank you... i was able to find it through a few google searches... i have a silly question, considering purchasing a b7 s4 avant as a work/daily driver... however... also would like it be a fun / reliable road trip car as well. so my questions are simple, is this simply for track use or is it a conservative tune that i could use for daily driving? secondly, do i have to upgrade clutch and downpipes and exhaust as well? lastly if i choose to go auto so my woman can drive as well, will the stock auto transmission hold up?

 

Its actually more for daily use than track use. Car is silky around town. My wife drives my supercharged S4 tip all the time

 

About the AWE/VF SC I believe the avant S4 AWE was using had to go back to the owner/dealer because the lease expired and the whole project got scrapped/put on the backburner leaving the beta kits on a handful of S4's out in the wild. At this point with no word from AWE or VF I'd say go with PES because they have been great on this board and their SC kit is getting some rave reviews.

Also having one of their employes come into my job and just started chatting with me one night they seem like some grade A people to boot!

 

this is the main point, if i go this route it will be used as a company car / daily driver, so i wouldnt want something thats constantly CEL or needs tuning etc.

 

I know the VF Kit will be ready soon. My RS4 should be all done in the next couple of weeks.

 

VF super charger for FSI?

 

VF does have an S4 an RS4 and R8 charger system designed. We hope to debut them shortly.
