RS4 scam!!!
Just wanted to give everyone here heads up on this ad: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
I almost purchased this car a few months back...it turned out to be a big scam!!! I was so surprised to see this guy relist this ad He had a very elaborate scheme going. He went as far as having a delivery website with a tracking number for the car. I was very suspicious of course, so I had my banker look into the account that he wanted the deposit to go into. Long story short...FRAUDULENT. That same account had just received a $25K deposit that was withdrawn the same day. Secondly, I had asked him what packages came with the car...he said he would get back to me. When he did, he said Ti pkg. I said: but you don't have the blacked out rims and front grill. You have the CF interior trim. He just blew it off and said that he didn't want the piano trim!?!?!
So don't fall for this. I honestly almost lost $32K. Definitely too good to be true. Hey, but if you don't believe me, call this guy and ask him detailed questions about this particular car. He probably won't know much besides the very basic.
BTW: I will be posting this on other audi sites as well.
You know what they say...if it's too good to be true...it probably isn't true.

I did the previous time. That's why I am somewhat surprised this guy posted again. I am sure he's using another account or something. I want to email him a nasty letter and let him know that we are on to him. I'm so furious when I see these or hear about these. We all work really hard for what we have...and someone comes along and tries to steal from us!

No vin#. Phone number disconnected. Very little description about the car. But the main give away is the PRICE. No one in their right mind would give up their RS4 with those miles for that price...unless the car had been in a major accident.
Even though all the above should point to FRAUD, I dealt with this person first hand, so I am 100%. You know what they say about karma. Someone will save you one day from making a huge financial mistake. Feel good about that.

Thanks. Believe me, I felt stupid for even inquiring about this car. Of course I knew it was probably too good to be true, BUT, again, I let my love for the car (emotions) blind me for a moment.

This is not the same one, but here is another suspicious looking one...

Low price and no vin #.
Again, I don't have personal experience with this one, so I can't say for sure. I don't want to ruin someone else's ad, so I can't say that this one is real or not. You'll have to find out for yourself by doing a thorough background check. I am sure if you call the contact number, the phone # won't be in service. Try it.

This looks similar to the one that originated this thread.

It is always a good idea to check out a website before you visit it for the first time. Many tools you can use. Scamadviser is possibly the best and most up-to-date. Just enter the website URL and see what the result is: http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/
By checking the site you will get a clear idea of the site, ownership, registration, online trust etc. Scamadviser is one of the most trusted tools in the internet world for checking the scam or legitimacy of the website. Scamadviser gives you interesting and informative facts on the website you are searching for. Probably you will have almost all information to decide for yourself, whether a site is scam or not. You may share this tool, if you find it worth to use.
