Man, you guys work fast!

I did get some flack from other R8 owners and others for not being "meaner" last summer when I was in the midst of it. PES was the first to market with the supercharger for the R8. A couple of us ante'd up and played the hand. It was all new ground. I couldn't wait for the VF application. Now I know they took the time to get it right.

The TT applications that EVOMS and Heffner are doing are a whole new level of power over the SC systems. The full engine build along with the TT is even more extreme. It's more power than I need, but I will use it. I have to have some way of embarassing the Porsche guys, right?

I don't need a point by, just move to the right!

Anyone that sees the R8 LEDs behind them on the straights better look out. We're talking vortex power here. You can mess with me on the corners, just let me have my moment on the straightaways!

Gig,

Being an past Audi owner, I started looking at some of the old forum's I use to frequent. It seems like you are not the only one to have this PES coolant leaking issue.

Good thing you got rid of this thing before it made your engine go BOOM!

Holy cow.
Man, I am right there with the poster of this thread on Audizine. Happy at first, then things go wrong, you get dissed. At least in his case he got the car to them for repairs, and it sounds like PES covered some of it. In my case, I'm all the way in WA, what a hassle for them I guess.

Expensive lessons for a few of us, but going forward hopefully those interested in adding power to their Audis will find these threads and know who to go with, and who NOT to go with. Thanks NorthVan.

Gig, I agree that people looking for future mods will find these type of threads, it is unfurtunate for you that you had to spend the money to find the results. I am sure that EVOMS will make a winner, and won't let a dog out of their shop.

Can't wait to see the future posts from EVOMS on this thread.

Raydius is infamous around these parts
On a side note, I'm hoping that EVOMS will make their custom internal components available for purchase to those who also have S5's that want to do their own build. Seems fairly common to see a S5 / Q7 motor for reasonable price on eBay which might be a good starting point for a project.

I'm also of course operating under the assumption that RS4 / R8 / S5 / Q7 internals are all interchangable, which after extensive tech doc reading seems like a reasonable conclusion.

Here are a few videos from the 2-days of track testing we performed on the EVOMS built R8 twin turbo. We will post more details of the entire build as well as the details about our track tests and final specs. For now, enjoy the sights and sounds of the R8 being pushed on the track.

Raydius the compression is a bit lower in the S5 and Q7 engine so probably better for a twin turbo engine without tearing into it then the RS4/R8 engine
