997tt To R8?
#21
Interior is a combo of "Alabaster White" and black. Contrasting stitching on all surfaces. Went for the full Audi Exclusive program. A bit of a pain (and expense) going through the order process, but you can create some cool stuff. Couldnt be happier with the car!

I went from a 911 Turbo to the R8 V10. No regrets.
No question about the looks and the exhaust sound being better than the 911. The ride is noticeably more comfortable than the 911TT. Important for me as the roads in New England can be very rough. The TT's ride was becoming a bit punishing.
Don't really know how to compare the speed. Very difficult to rip around here too fast. I was a little tired of the turbo lag and really love the instant power of the N/A V10.
Barely ever got a look in the 911, but be prepared for a lot of attention when driving the R8. Some of it can be dangerous. People speeding up to catch you, hanging out their car windows to take a pic. Have almost been hit by someone driving and trying to take a pic at the same time.
Both great cars. Can't go wrong with either.

Great explanation on your comparison. Best scenario would be to afford them both. Totally agree about the attention factor, they sure do get mine when I see one. Have not driven the 997.2TT PDK yet but many say that the turbo lag is really gone....I hope!

in germany the R8 depreciates quickly in the first 2-3 years (from 110k to 70k in case of the R8 V8, almost the same as the 997) but then it gets very stabil. should be the same in the US.
