I love the RS5 and am considering buying one. I cannot stand the M3 and how BMW has tarnished the M-line between bloat and styling.

That being said, this video speak volumes about how brilliant of a car BMW has made considering the latest-greatest-Audi is now "tad" quicker than this staid, tired old BMW. Kudos to the M, I'd still buy the Audi.

You would think that it would have ripped the M3, but it doesn't. I like the styling better and the interior wins hands down, but the price is going to be a big deciding factor for me because I feel that for what we're expecting it to cost, you could easily find yourself in a range of cars that'll outperform the RS5.

The RS5 has a few more horses but it is also heavier due to its AWD.
in my book, it is among the fastest coupes, it is one of sexiest coupes
it has one of the nicest interiors. so, some may be slightly faster, but i think nothing beats its feel-good-factor.

They look like two drunken water buffalo staggering through a swamp. I wouldn't choose either one as my performance car.

i also agree, that they both looks like bloated water buffalo ,im especialy dissapointed on how bmw just tottaly screwed the M up by making so heavy and so blah looking.

with that said though, this video really is meaningless alot of varibales, two diff. drivers , in the one turn looks like the m driver skrewed up comming into that turn ,

different tires, hopefully the m was in the right settings , etc etc.

the should have had the same driver take it around the track, and do the testing.

I agree. Neither driver really struck me as working the cars very hard either. I'd be more impressed seeing the Stig driving both in one day.

Hopefully your 996 Cab Carrera 4 isn't your choice for a "performance" car either

No, genius. A C4 cab. is a crisp handling pleasure cruiser which, by the way, still out performs the e93 even though the bloated Bimmer (4150lbs)is 6 years newer. Now, my GT3, that's a performance car.

Nobody is talking about the e93, genius. That car is what, 400lbs heavier? If its a 996 GT3 there isn't much difference between that and e90/e92 M3/RS5. If it's a 997, well then thats a different story....

Also, if your C4 Cab is stock an e93 would be right next to you.
