APR chip for R8 5.2

I would like to get the detuned 5.2 engine performance up to it's Gallardo capability. Aside from exhaust which I'm addressing, it appears the APR chip and engine remap will do the job. Does anyone have any experience with APR pro or con?

I have the APR stage 2 flash for my A4 and I'm having them rebuild my fuel pump right now. I haven't heard anything bad about APR over on Audizine and I've been really happy with their products so far.

If we could ever get our Dealor to do Stasis, I'd say look into them

Not a bad product, had it on my R8 before supercharging, but don't expect a full program to ever be available. People with RS4's and R8's have been waiting 3+ years for full program. If you have 93 octane readily available go for that tune, just hope you never drive somewhere where there is no 93. Also while it's claimed it's undetectable I would still be worried about warranty issues, If I had a fairly new V10 I would go with Stasis to maintain warranty.

Thanks for the feedback guys. From everything I can find, it looks like I'll be moving forward. We have 93 Octane and some good techs locally to help me out. Thanks again.

Just flashed one yesterday with a tubi exhaust, customer says he loves it. If you dont have a dealer with in reasonable driving distance I can send out our net book and walk you through the download process. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes of your time.

Purchased my R8 V10 last Friday in Knoxville and drove it home to Dallas. Stopped in Memphis for the APR flash and it is awesome. The car was wickedly quick before but it is a beast now. Also I love the low end torque increase. Definitely do it! Best most inexpensive mod available.

Stasis wont generally keep your warranty they will give you their own but there was a recent press conference where Audi's spokesperson answered the specific question about Stasis and said it will not cover parts changed with stasis parts and if damage occurs because of Stasis part it wont be covered under Audi warranty as they have no such agreement. Go APR.

Wow, I was starting to lean toward the Stasis flash when I found our local Audi dealer will be handling Stasis. It was all about the warrantee and getting APR like torgue boost but sacrificng some on HP. Now I'm really confused. Renntech mods are done at Merc dealers, I wonder if it's the same thing i.e. only a service, with no guarantees from MB. I wonder what the context of the press conference was. If it was about supercharging, I can better understand, but a simple flash shouldn't be as big a warrantee challenge.

Sorry not sure what "epo" means but just check their website which has all of the product information as well as dealers. If you call them with your questions, they are very helpful.
