I'm curious as well. Just got my V10, with initially no intention of tracking it, but the more I drive it, the more I fantasize about how well it'll track, hehe.

I think all of the R8 prospective track guys bought a GTR instead. Hah I am just kidding! As a GTR owner though, I can say the R8 is one sweet car.

I'm not sure serious track rats looking for a new vehicle to thrash are going to opt for an R8 or a GTR. IMO the GT3 RS, Viper ACR, and Corvette Z06 all seem to be more logical choices.

I tend to agree with "V-10". However, a motor sports park is being built near New Orleans opening this year, with the same designer as Autobahn in Chicago. I may consider some track time there with my 5.2 when it's done. I do think most car enthusiasts who track, have their dedicated track car, and then their dedicated street toys.

I mainly just want to get it out for a DE event or two to see how it compares w/ the GT2. Definitely not going to make it a 50/50 street/track car.

Did several track days in my GT3 and plan on attending my first track weekend end of September in the R8 V10. Can't wait but I am not going to track more than probably 3 times a year in it. The car is just so nice and yet a beast at the same time...

Reason I am asking as we are developing more track oriented products for this car for the serious guy who wants to go beat up on the GT3's - GTR's etc...

Particularly in the suspension, brakes and wheel package area.

Our roll bar will be released shortly and the Twin Turbo package is available now.

My '10 V10 gets delivered tomorrow. Definitely interested in the suspension mods you're developing. Any thoughts on the best OEM achievable alignment specs for an aggressive street/DE event setup?

I have tracked my V10 five times. The car is phenomenal on the track. However I am thinking about getting a used 911 as a dedicated track car. Too much money in the R8 just in case something went wrong.
