This car is available for sale.
It is superbly beautiful in person. The color is amazing. It also had some custom touches added on.

 

$260k? Would rather buy a new V10 and supercharge to 710hp for a less money

 

but it wouldn't weigh 80kg less!



I like the GT...but I don't think I like this custom stripe. Too fiddly.

Hell, an R8 4.2 with a big blower would be pretty fun. Stock motor should be good to handle 500 whp. That's plenty insane, and you could do it for half of 260. Having owned an RS4 with that motor for a month, I'd be happy listening to that soundtrack. Hopefully the roots blower wouldn't drown it out.

Still, there's a rarity factor with the GT, and the grand majority of the world (95% of R8 owners I'd guess) don't modify a stitch on their cars so comparing modded V10/V8 vs. stock GT isn't really going to impact Audi's ability to sell these things.
