Hello everyone.

I need info and guidance as I am in a bit of psycho pickle.

I have 2010 Audi TT RS coupe, manual, H&R arbs, anti-lift kit, peak 420hp and 606nm at crank (measured last year on rolling road at 28C ambient temperature). The car has done 23000km so far.

I like most things about my TT (except for slow and prehistoric navi.system and the standard seats that have no side support in corners).

On the other hand, I have always wanted to own a 911 at one point in my life. Now I have been looking at 997.1 Turbo. I found one car, 2009, manual, shortshifter, sport chrono, adaptive sport seats, touchscreen navi, one owner, 1 year Porsche warranty. Looks totally mint from all directions (also inside), very nice traditional silver color....

I've been going crazy about this car and almost decided yes I switch...but now I started doubting again.

Porsche will cost twice the price of part-exed TT, insurance is at least 30% more expensive, service is also more expensive, tuning is more expensive.
997.1 is probably not as responsive low down as TT because of lower compression.
Porsche has nice seats and nice navi.system, will be faster than my tuned TT and probably brakes and handles better, but I am not sure all of this justifies the big financial investment.

I have not test driven the car, in fact, I have never been in a Porsche. Anyway, a short test drive will only tell so much.

I know some of you have owned 997 Turbo, or have driven it, what are your experiences? I am in particular interested in comparison to TT RS, of course.

People, I do not need to decide for me, I just want your opinions on 997.1T (stock) manual car against TT RS (stock/tuned). I know that 997.2T with PDK is fast, but I am only interested in manual 997 with old GT1 block, and not interested in other cars like GT-R etc.

Cannot write private emails yet, but I know some of you could share your opinions.
