(I have a RS4 now it's a great car with vacuum cleaner sound ) They should have used the engine from S6/7. And it's super heavy.

The downside of TTRS is it can't be ordered with the dsg transmission in the US. And you might ask yourself if you want to pay that much for a TT.

R8 is the best looking car in the market imho. Interior and the seating position are spot on. There are a lot of faster cars but the look is just phenomenal.
The 4.2V8 in the RS5 is completely different than the 2007 RS4. It's a complete redesign of the 5.2V10 essentially with 2 cylinders removed.

r8 all the way

I had an S4 and found it to be a very compromised car. I replaced it wit a TTRS. It is a fantastic car, but only because my other car is a V12 Vantage.

The TTRS does so many things soo well, but it isn't a pure driving experience like the R8. It just does not have the pedigree, even if it has the numbers. It is an awesome motor and a very capable car, but it lacks the delicacy, breeding and depth of the R8.

If you just want to hang out in parking lots and race stoplight to stoplight, buy the TTRS or even the RS5.

Those cars do numbers well. They are fantastic, but each is a flawed experience. The R8 has been designed to do what it does.

I have only driven the V10 model and it is very capable, but perhaps a little sedate. Needs more sound. But then that is true of all Audis.

The RS5 will be interesting for a month or so. The TTRS is invisible and the R8 still holds its value.

I only bought mine because I had my 'pure' car and needed the utility.

All great cars, but one is greater.

Based on these numbers, I would rather have the manual:

(DSG): 0-60: 3.6 sec, 1/4 mile: 12.1@114mph, top speed: 174mph
(Manual): 0-60: 4.0 sec, 1/4 mile: 12.6@110mph, top speed: 174mph

$57k for a TT is not cheap. But then what type of new car will give you those numbers and overall driving experience for less $$$?
