Just got the Audi TTRS, trying to decide whether to get the APR Stage 1 or the REVO Stage 1 ECU flash.
Thanks for the input!!!

TTRS Tune
Thanks for the input! What other tunes did you consider before going with REVO? When it comes to HP/TQ numbers the REVO needs other parts to reach the same numbers as APR tune only.
I will be getting the rear sway from 034 Motorsports, then a second set of rims and Hoosiers for the track.
With the above I should be able to have some fun terrorizing others at the tracks I attend, Summit Point, Watkins Glen, VIR, Thunderbolt, and Mid Ohio.

No other parts were needed but I do have a Stasis exhaust. The tune will most definitely reach the same numbers, if not beat APRs numbers. Revo "usually" has higher HP numbers but not by much. Both are great tunes. I also went with Revo because my tuner was very close to me for any other questions. I live in NE Ohio and enjoy watching some Mid-Ohio races, sounds like fun. Once you get your car chipped it will be completely different and you will love it!

I had a TTRS, fantastic car. Bad brakes, get the Loba kit ASAP if you are heading to the track. You will be so much happier. Fade went away and i did not have to worry about warping yet another set, plus you get braided lines etc. Change out the tires once they go to something stickier. I also recommend a proper track alignment. I went with the Haldex competition unit.
All these changes really brought the car to life.
Enjoy your car, its a good one.

Here's the Loba kit.

I dealt with them directly. Here is an email for Simon a sharp. He was a very helpful guy.

It comes with the braided lines as well. The calipers are moved when the kit is installed. You can also opt to install the 8 pot calipers at ANY time. I only did the discs and was fine.
The kit looks great and my local performance shop (also a McLaren dealer) was impressed with the build quality.
I think I have a brand new set of cooling blades from the TT Shop in the UK. Never installed. If you can get the shipping taken care of, you can have them.

More Help!!!
I have been researching online, talking with authorized installers, and the manufacture about both the APR and REVO tunes.
I am no closer to making a decision! I have a few questions...
What percentage of drivetrain loss do they use?
APR claims they use only the front wheels and get numbers of 414hp/430tq at the crank.
They also claim they get 370hp/408tq at the wheels. That equates to a 12% drivetrain loss for (hp), and a 5.5% drivetrain loss for (tq).
370x1.12=414.4 hp
408x1.055=430.44 tq
APR claims they tested their car before tune and it produced 375hp/365tq.
Revo claims numbers of 343.7 hp/364.3 tq at the wheels. They also claim crank numbers of 410 hp/ 403 tq. That equates to a drivetrain loss of 19.5% for the (hp) and 10.5% drivetrain loss for (tq).
343.7x1.195=410.72 hp
364.3x1.105=402.55 tq
Revo started at the European spec car of 335hp/332tq! The US version has 360hp/343tq. If using the same percentages of loss, would the tuned numbers be 360x1.195=430 hp and 343x1.105=379tq?
The numbers look skewed to me! Why is there a different percentage loss for hp and tq? I thought they should be the same?
And now for the best part, price!!!
APR is $899 plus $100 for labor = $999
REVO is $699 minus 20% ($139) plus $100 for labor = $660
REVO is switchable, (+$199) and APR is not.
Is there any chance I can see a drag race between a Stage 1 APR TTRS and a Stage 1 REVO TTRS? LOL!
Please post if you have some helpful info or experience with either tune!

TTRS with Revo tune + exhaust I believe. Dyno reads 445HP. Look at his other videos, he has the TTRS going 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds. Both tunes should honestly yield roughly the same numbers. I don't know why APR uses fwd as the dyno. I understant it is a haldex system but the rears are still getting power when on the gas. Maybe they are doing that to raise their numbers, less drivetrain loss??

Tune???
Ok, I see the numbers on the dyno!
BUT, what would the numbers be without the exhaust? How much HP does the exhaust increase the overall HP? What is the generally accepted drivetrain loss for an AWD car?
I have no interest in getting anymore power other than the tune. I will be improving the braking, alignment, and suspension. I am not getting exhaust. I think the car will be more than impressive with the tune and the already mentioned mods.
I am still looking!

Dyno Drivetrain Loss
428 hp and 455 tq REVO
462 hp and 510 tq APR
I doubt those numbers would be correct!! That would be the best tune of the century!!
REVO has contacted me and has been great with explaining their process of test and tune. I am leaning towards them since they took the effort to read the boards and respond to a possible customers questions.
Decision time is fast approaching!
