What are the advantages associated with this product ? Available for a 2104 RS5 ?

 

the 2104 RS5 may not even have wheels, so it's tough to say.



These are titanium so they're

a) really light
b) really expensive

It's a great way to say 'look...I shaved 4 lbs of rotating mass for $700'

When you think about it, people spend thousands on forged wheels to save what...5 lbs per wheel? So spening $750 to save 4 lbs is in line with buying a set of $3500 forged wheels where you save 5 lbs per corner.

People consider these bolts excessive but I think they make sense if you're at that point in your modification list that you're spending massive amounts for small gains. I wouldn't bother doing it on a car that didn't already have LW rotors, LW tires, tune, decat, exhaust etc.

Yes, these are available for a 2014 RS5. We use an aerospace certified grade 5 6AL-4V titanium that is equivalent in strength to the OEM grade 8 steel but weighs 45% lighter. By certified I mean each match of material is tested to ensure the mechanical properties are correct before we machine our masterpieces.

The 2-piece design reduces the chance of marring your wheel. The floating washer allows the collar to seat properly on the wheel before applying final torque. This also helps with any misalignment between the wheel and the hub.
