Anyone getting the new S8?
When are they available? Can you order already? Gotta see this one in person.
Was thinking about Mercedes S Class but if I want power I need to go with the S600 or better yet drop 200 large on an S65! The S8 might be a decent and cheaper alternative and much quicker then the S550! But man would I die for the S65 - hurry up and drop the price to $150k and I'm there!

It has a differently tuned (for more torque) version of the Lambo V10 - shared components, not necessarily the same engine.
I bought my S4 at Hoehn - Mike Wille is a great salesman and I had a wonderful experience buying there.
I love the S8 - it would be my first choice to complement by 997 S.

I drove a black on black S8 about 2 months ago while it was in Denver for testing. My brother has the first one on order with our dealership so they let us go for a ride in the test vehicle.
I was very impressed. It's a beautiful car and has the typical understated aggressive look of German performance sedans. The interior is typical Audi, in other words, it's nearly perfect. This car had carbon fiber and, after seeing it, it's a must.
The car is quick, sounds great, and feels rock solid. It doesn't feel as heavy as it looks and this engine really likes to rev. It's very quick from a dead stop but it's extremely quick at passing speeds on the highway. The ride is a perfect combo of sporting and comfort.
Audi nailed it with this car, IMO. I can't imagine a better combo of speed, refinement, and all weather performance. Needless to say, I'm jealous of my brother as his S8 is due in soon.
