The rumor was that the retrofit kit for iPods was going to be available in January. My local dealer doesn't have any information. Anyone have any details?

I have heard of that and supposedly a O.E.M. Audi cradle that works with the Treo650 was due out last year. I contacted Audi directly and they have no timeline as of yet, Palm has a press release about it but says you got to go thru Audi. As usual the dealer network and knowledge is an inch away from stupidity, all they can do is shake their heads and say "Nope, nothing yet".
I am a member on some Audi boards and will see what I can find for you and will let you know if I get some "real" info.

The iPod module does work even with the 2nd generation iPods. nanos work as well. When you plug the iPod in, there's an Audi four rings logo that pops up onto the iPods screen to show that the link has been made. There are varying pictures out there currently of the module. One shows a wired adapter to the Ipod (retrofit) and another shows a cradle type. Another type was one in which you inserted the iPod into a slot.
