Hey guys,

I'm considering a trade of my 05 STS V8 for an 06 Audi A6 Quattro 3.2

Anything I should know about? Trying to get by with RWD last winter got me thinking twice... so it's AWD or pretty much nothing.

the 2008 a6 3.2 will have the S Line body kit standard, aswell as 18" 5 spoke wheels !!!

compared to the e350 or 530xi, the awd is 100x better...
the fit and finish is far superior than the others, and there is also more interior room than the competition

the one upgrade i would definately suggest are the european/ sport seats, they're only $500 and worth every penny, and perhaps sport suspension....

 

You may be a little unhappy going from a V8 STS to the 3.2 motor. Fit and finish, however, are going to blow you away compared to Cadillac. Try to find a A6 4.2 S-line....in white with amaretto interior.....OMG HOT!!!

 

Upgrading to the V8 would break the budget barrier.

Will I be that unhappy with 255hp vs the 320hp the northstar pumps?
I've seen 7.1 0-60 times on the Audi website from the 3.2L motor. Doesn't sound too bad. Even though I am used to high 5's in the 0-60, I rarely abuse it. I drive like a grandpa in my sedan's/suv's

My other concern would be if I could make it as unique looking as my STS without investing too much.


Sorry to say...but the A6 is a bit boring, especially with the stock 18(?) spoke wheels.

What nis with a used RS4 or a used E55AMG?

 

don't like b6 & b7 is too expensive. E55 05 or newer are also too expensive.

 

Ok there are not a lot other ones. Used A6 4.2? Also quattro and 95hp more. I don`T live in america so I don`t know the prices very good but I think you can get a 4.2 for around 45k$. But there are some other nice cars for that price.

 

2007+ 4.2 is a completely different motor than the previous 4.2 because of the FSI technology

please keep in mind, the 2008 model WILL have the S Line exterior body kit and 18" wheels as standard..
your car will look similar to an s6 , minus the LED lights up front...

Audi's ergonomics is top notch.. nothing compares..that I can say..

If you want power compared to your caddy, then you need an S6 to satisfiy that.. but as far as awd,drivability, ergo, the interior cabin alone i'm sold..haha

 

So I guess other then engine I should be satisfied.
