Their SC setup for the regular V8 S4 costs in the neighborhood of $27,000. No, that wasn't a typo, I said $27,000. So, for the RS4, I'd imagine you should probably prepare to pay somewhere slightly north of that figure since injectors and other parts for the FSI motors are very expensive. There are very few people who have that kit for obvious reasons so reliability, real-world performance, and driveability are still a mystery.

There's a guy on Audizine with username "V-8" (or V8) who has it on his 25th anniversary S4 and seems pleased. For that money though, there's a dozen other cars I'd be driving first. Just my 2 cents.

I don't doubt that they will price the RS4 kit more then the S4 kit but it shouldn't be that much more... From what I understand the S4 kit also includes parts for strengthening the engine, something the RS4 doesn't need.

I wasn't aware of that. I've inquired about the kit in the past with Hoppen in FL but they are very secretive about exactly what parts come with the kit. I guess they didn't want to let any secrets out to other potential manufacturers which is understandable, but you never know who your potential customers are going to be. Anyone who's going to spend that kind of dough wants to know exactly what they're getting before they write the check. In any case, I wasn't really thrilled that I couldn't get answers to some of my questions/concerns so the prospect of spending $27k on a mystery went flying out the window.

MTM has two kits for the S4, the K450 which is a "bolt-on" and the K500 which includes new pistons to lower the compression ratio. The K540 kit for the RS4 is similar to the K450 so expect it to about the same price (US$23,900). The K500 kit for the S4 is around US$31K and would obviously require a costly install.
