Chris, if you go with the downpipes, most definitely go with resonated catbacks. i really think the valved versions are not worth the money (speak to the guys at stratmosphere). my non-resonated catbacks (stock downpipes) do not cause cabin drone at higher speeds. one thing i am positive about is that the downpipes (aftermarket) are what cause the real loudness and why most with that setup go with resonated catbacks.

take care

Thanks for the info... I am going to enjoy it stock for a while. Mostly because I'm still cleaning my shorts from the hit I took on my 911.

We must share the same brain... LOL

I saw a GORGEOUS 993 in Guards Red today - when the time comes, I am going to buy the best 993 I can find (C2, C2S, C4S, Turbo, whatever). A used 997 GT3 will be high on the list too.

Chris, does your seat memory module work? try it out....set it.....then get out of your car and lock the car with your key.....then unlock your car, open the door, and see what happens.....i hope your's isn't corrupt.

I haven't assigned a key to memory yet... I did set the memory for my setting and it worked fine going back after my VA inspection today. I'll probably set the key to the seat memory tomorrow. I was just reading about it in the owner's manual today.

Did I mention how sick this car is???? Me x 1000 --------->

Congrats. I really thought your 997S looked great as well.

RS4 will be a pretty fun "all-around" car.

Just get a 2nd set of tires/wheels for track days.

Even stock in "S" they sound great!

I've been driving a few 997s in anticipation of a purchase and I like the sound of my catback S4 better *ducks*

Thanks - the second set of wheels will be for winter. I won't be tracking this car - if I get the track itch, it'll be an S2K or Evo for that.

Speaking of wheels, I am either going to powdercoat/anodize/polish my stock wheels. Any suggestions? I was thinking black anodized stockers would look awesome. The other idea is a black chrome finish... Tell me what you think.

Congrats Chris! I loved your 997s, but it makes sense to get one car for the whole year.

The exhaust note on the RS4 is sick!

oh man... black chrome + Avus would be killer. I'd do that in a minute.

The RS4 stock wheels are one of the few OEM wheels I actally like.

Ha ha - I'm not selling this one... If anything I'll add cars, not replace this one. I need to get my San Diego house situation sorted out first.
