S8 Test-drive finally!

OK, the results are in and .................................................. ...
Definately not for me. I LOVE the way it looks inside and out and wanted to love it overall but the drive isn't to my taste. Not sharp enough, especially the steering. We were in "dynamic" which was the sportiest setting. As for the S8/S4/RS4 "settling" question someone raised, there will be no settling. I know the RS4 isn't the right car for me/wife/kids. I want a sporty sedan that feels right, regardless of size. I'll get behind the wheel of an S4 in the next month.

Jim sorry I couldn't head over there, busy day today at the store.. I would have probably felt the same exact way though about the S8, from a luxury standpoint with some sportiness I'm sure its amazing, but if you are like me the S4/RS4/M5 are the choices!

S4 is a fat pig
what about the RS4 ??
also, you should look into the E63
i just got one on trade, and it's pretty good..
i like it over the 07 m5 as it's much smoother (transmission)
they put the new 7 speed in the e63, and the outside of the car looks badass !

The E63 could be a possibility but every M-B I've driven, possibly excepting the SL 55, didn't feel right. The engines were plenty powerful but the suspension, steering and braking didn't feel "whole", like it does on BMW and Porsche. I don't need the fastest car on the block (I might have that already), just one that gets the job done right.
