S8 Test-drive finally!

Not yet I haven't but after 6 months of trying (not very hard), my salesman stopped by the office to say the owner of the dealership has his daughter in one as a "demo". He's arranging her to have it there this Saturday so I'm excited. Hopefully, I haven't built it up too much in my mind.

Looking forward to your review! It's an awesome car, I don't see how you would be disappointed.

you'll love the 10cyl. had a chcance to test one when we were looking for the s6 but turned it down--just wanted something a bit smaller, though i'm sure you'll love it.

I'm afraid it's going to feel too "large" for me. I don't need a car of that size but have always liked the A8 style. The S6, or A6 style in general doesn't do it for me, and I haven't ruled out an S4. I've got all summer to look around.

S4? If your considering the S8, why settle for a S4? The RS4 is WAAYYY more car.

"Big" is, of course, relative to what you're used to. In my experience with the car (brief, but I've driven it a bit), the S8 does feel large, but not as large a a 7-series or S-class.

Wonderful car though.

I wasn't crazy about the S6's looks..but now i'm sold .

The 8 is a big car, but its managable. I'm sure its a lot more taught than the a8L we drove in, which should help 'size it down'..at least in the feel category.

and yah, if you go s4, why not RS4 ..or S5!
