i read in an edmunds article , that the US version weighs 3807lbs and has a weight distribution of 52:48
if this is true, i will cancel my order for the S5, as it will understeer like a pig...
im HOPING the 3800lbs was w/ driver (euro car weighs 3590 lbs), and that the weight balance was a typo

not sure if that's a typo or not, but that's pretty good for an Audi. the RS4 has worse weight distribution than that and we all know how well it handles. that plus the S5 will have the same rear biased quattro setup as the RS4 and MY07 S4 6spd cars have, which changes the dynamics of the car substatially. I do hope that the weight figure is closer to the euro spec, however.
We have Audi as well, and I can't wait to go to training in september, it should be a blast!

the S5 is built on a new extended chassis, that puts the engine further in the rear..
in my opinion it's not enough, but that's just me..
to be honest, I can't wait to get my S5, but i am a little dissapointed that the S5 is closer to the HP of a infiniti G37 and BMW 335, than it is to a M3...
..nothing that a few mods can't fix though

Sorry Paul, dealers only. we might be getting a demo car for test drives before they actually go on sale, like Audi did on the TT and Q7. I'll let you know, of course. on the RS....we won't see it until after the upcoming RS6 exits production, which should be shown next month @ frankfurt and begin production sometime next year.
