RS6 Info... 571hp??
#23
supercharged 6.2-liter V8 pushing as much as 650 hp. The engine, which will be hand-built at a rate of 1500-2000 per year at the General Motors Performance Center outside Detroit, features an integrated intake manifold intercooler similar to the one GM developed for the Cadillac STS V-Series.
I think the chevy will be priced close to $100k if i am not mistaken.
If Audi is able to price the Rs6 below $100k then i don't think they should have a problem selling the car.

I dont see Audi bringing the RS6 here (USA) ever for one, and if by some chance they decide later to bring it it will most def. cost more than $100k.
Thats one of the main reasons they wont bring them here is the amount they will have to charge for them after getting them certified with the DOT, seats, bumpers, air bags, emmisions, equipping the dealer network for repair, technician training etc. all gets tallied up before the product gets shipped here.
It def. looks great but I hope they were conservative (as all smart people should be, lol) about the performance figures. I know it doesnt mean squat but the 0-60mph is not fascinating, esp. when the last gen RS6 did it in the same amount of time. So what are they telling us, that its bigger, heavier, AND has almost 600hp? Big whoop, the AMG Benzes and Bimmers M's will still anhilate it in short 0-100mph bursts and that will not sell well here.
I had the last gen RS6, actually 2 of them, great and fun cars but still too damn heavy and needed more grunt.

Here is a good story, just got off the phone with my brother who stopped by a local Audi dealer to chit chat with the GM of Sales. He tells him they are still accepting deposits for the RS6 and get this one according to what they have been told the car will do 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds. BWAHHHHHH. I couldnt talk to my brother from laughing so hard, and I told him to tell him if that turns out to be true I will buy 2 of them. He knows me as I have bought from him before and I swear I will buy 2 of them if that pig is that fast. Ahhhhh auto sales, gotta love it.

From Autoblog:
"The folks over at Auto Motor und Sport (and Dubspeed) let loose several images and specs on Audi's forthcoming RS6 Avant, and although the pics are pretty, the real story is the power. Sporting a 5.2-liter V10, complete with TSI and two turbos swinging from the exhaust manifolds, the RS6 will be producing upwards of 580 HP and 480 lb.-ft. of torque. This allows the Avant to jaunt to 60 in under 4.6 seconds and onto an electronically limited top speed of 155 MPH."
