My Ferrari 308gtb for sale
I am selling my 1985 Ferrari 308gtb.
18 months ago I looked around and bought the nicest 1985 308gtb I could find, for $40,000. I then spent six months having my mechanic go over the entire car from front to back, replacing / upgrading light bulbs, new fuse box wiring harness, custom floor mats, etc., etc.
We also did or added the following:
- Complete engine-out belt service and transmission rebuilt by famed Ferrari mechanics Norwood Autokraft in Dallas, Texas
- New clutch
- Custom 18" Kinesis rims
- Tubi exhaust
- Big Brembo brakes up front (huge difference in stopping power)
- Fully adjustable coil-over suspension with larger sway bars (huge difference in handling)
- Seats from a Ferrari 355 (again, huge difference in comfort)
- California aero side mirrors
- Cockpit selectable fire-out system
- Other stuff I'm sure I'm forgettting
This was a surprise Christmas present for my boys, and I literally told my mechanic to spare no expense and make it perfect. He did, and they loved it for a few weeks, but they can't both ride with me at the same time, so I'm ready to sell it.
I would guess it is the finest 308gtb in the country. Last year they were made. Fuel injection. Four valves per cylinder. (Simba thinks it's the perfect candidate for a detuned IRL engine so stay away from him!).
Runs awesome, handles incredibly, unbelievably beautiful. The sound of that mid-engined V-8 going through the Tubi exhaust is simply the best.
Car has 41,000 miles. We have driven it roughly 1,000 miles in the last year. I have approximately $90,000 invested in it. $50,000, OBO.
Pics to come. Photobucket is down for maintenance (not that I know how to use it anyway). If anyone cares to host them for me, I will e-mail them to you. Thanks for looking.
