I was one of those people that spoke to the seller. He is a good guy and his story did not sound like BS. He has a nice car and I was very interested but after further discussion with my wife we collectively decided to pass on this. I followed up with a PM as I think most people should but probably don't. All to there own on that one. But beating a guy down is not what I think this forum is all about. At the end of the day he can do what he wants. The "*******" comment probably came out of frustration. I think we have all been there before. So bottom line no harm no foul. Let the thread die on it's own if you are not interested. But $119K was a screaming deal. Just wasn't the right time for me to pull the trigger.

 

I have not been around for a while and I just read all that was said about my so called "Bull**** Story"

Well, all I can say is that alot of you here do NOT know me and only a few fellow 6speeders have met me in person. I have had 7 Porsches and a 360 in between in the last 7 years paid for and I am always going in and out of cars. I am sure that the people on this forum can back me on that one.

This whole dealer thing was not a story and originally I was trading in my 997tt for a 430. But then I heard that the 430 body change coming up will be a big one and I decided to see whats coming next from Ferrari.

But in the mean time I still did a deal with my car.

But know I just wanted to do a bit responding to those people that are calling this whole thing a story.

1. Andy Bungo- Who are you and what do you drive? Is that you in your avitar?
2. Alpine 997- I am dying to meet you in person. You are obviously a bad judge of character and who ever said I was buying a 08 or 09 turbo?? I never said that. I only said that I heard that the 08 and 09 turbo coupes are just about all accounted for.

3. Speedy- I was just so pissed off as to what was going on trying to DUMP my car to someone. You dont know how many calls and stuff like that I went through.

4.Z2die4- Whos telling stories now? Like I said before, this NEVER was some story. When I raised my price back up was right after I told my friend with another turbo that I was trading. He begged me not to do it.

5. Paulycw- Like I said, at the price I was getting I could not believe that someone even thinking about a turbo did not jump all over this. It seems that I am never around when a deal like this is in front of you.

6. AllMack- Self embarrasing thread. No comment.

7. Stricky- No bull here bro. This car was Perfect with NO issues. Never seen the track and absolutly NO rock chips anywhere. Whoever winds up with this car is getting a perfect car.

8. Nutz4cars- Robert, all I can say is that you are a great person. I spent about an hour on the phone with you and I realy did'nt care if you took it or not. At least you had the courtesy to PM me with the decision you made.



But all in all at this point I realy dont care about my car anymore. The deal was done yesterday(Friday) and I am picking up my Nera later today. As you can see in the pix. They wound up only giving me 105K on the trade and lowered the price of the Nera by about 3K off their asking price.

I just started getting crazy and lived up to my name of MonsoonMadness...

I will vouche for monsoon that he is the real deal people and he was just trying to give someone here a great price..

Those of you who dont know me will say oh just another 1 poster guy who has come to his friends rescue that just got owned and now he is going to the dealer and taking pictures of showroom floor cars and posting it up to make us belive that he is the real deal..

Now onto the real deal with this car. monsoon and I have been friends for a long time he is crazy for sure specialy when it comes down to cars his cars are always as clean as they can be and he is a neurotic freak. But I assure you he dont play games and when he wants something he just goes out and gets it he dont lease he dont finance he just goes for the gold and delivers. he also is a stand up guy and is never looking to ripp people off the price of 115 was awesome but I told him right off the bat that 2 things that will prevent him from getting rid of the car quick and I have seen some people here say exactlly this...

1 economy
2 hard color to sell

but if you want to wait for that guy or girl who wants and loves that color combo you will get your 119 no question but it may take a few months and your gonna have to put it up on ebay...

He said no no no I said yes yes yes and many people here have said yes yes yes....so what am I talking about here?

I dont know actually I guess thats why we are friends because we are both a little crazy....

anyone who can purchase a Porsche, Ferrari or Lambo when they feel like it is obviously successful. Even if his sales thread didn't go as planned, there's no reason for everyone to **** on him.

Regardless, congrats on the Lambo and getting rid of your 997TT finally.

 

Thanks catdog. Like I said for the 15th time. I was just trying to make someone here benefit by cutting out the dealer and going direct.
At the price I was listing for my car I thought that was a great deal for the buyer.

PS: If anybody is interested in my car I think it will be for sale at Champion motors here on Long Island,NY for about 127.

 

It's frustrating to sell cars and especially with comments from the peanut gallery...

I'm glad you have moved on and I also hate selling cars for the same reasons..

That's why I donate them all to charity..
