Running/Driving 93 Red/Tan Touring RX-7 w/ LS1 & Built new T56 $18.5k

Price: $17,000 FIRM

Vintage Red/Tan Touring model
Milage: 126,400
Clean title

Stage 4 T56 w/ less than 100 miles from T56rebuilds/sixspeedsinc.com
Full Hinson Super Cars mounting kit

Kaixxen HID headlights
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Rear tires (70% tread life)
Pro 5.0 Short Shifter
Sony Head unit w/ 10 Disc changer
Hinson Speedo correction box
PFS Catback exhaust

Uninstalled Parts:
VDO Water Temp Gauge
H3R.Com B355T Halon 5lb fire extinguisher & Bracket

What the car needs:
Exhaust between manifolds and cat back (ie. the section where you would put a cat if so desired, I have O2's but they are not installed as they would also go in this section)
Good detailing
Parts of interior reinstalled
Install insulated clamps for battery line and fuel lines (currently temporarily held up by zip ties, because I wanted to see where the exhaust would be routed before I permanently installed them)
Calibrate speedometer
bolt down battery box that is in trunk
Install fire extinguisher
Mount oil pressure gauge (is currently taped to center console for troubleshooting the car purposes)
check tightness of all engine mount and transmission mount bolts (now that the car has about 100 miles on it since swap)

There are a few flaws on the exterior all of which will be documented with pictures, other than that the paint is in top condition as the previous owner had the car repainted.

Note: The car does not come with the PFC nor is it installed, the interior pic is immediately prior to beginning the swap.

Video of the car running and driving yesterday

2008039.flv - Video - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Car is located in Wake Forest, NC. Zip: 27587. You can reach me via email at: Goodin.Rob at gmail.com

Car has PS but no A/C however the A/C compressor is still installed so it shouldn't be hard to install A/C.

$2k deposit gets you a week to arrange transfer of other funds.

The car can be driven enough for a couple of mile test drive, however until the fuel lines etc. are otherwise secured, the bolt tightnesses are checked etc. I would not feel comfortable travelling any further than that. I currently have injured my meniscus and so am unable to do these things myself.

Thanks for your time and interest,
Rob

funny you posted this here. within the last 24 hours I got a wild hair that I wanted one of these.

Can you tell me the difference between this one and the ones you see selling on v8rx7s for the same price or a little less? Those are presented as cars with the bugs worked out. I don't know enough to be able to distinguish those from yours.

The paint is pretty much brand new and until last week the car hadn't been out of the garage for more than a couple of hours (in the last 2 years), it has a good quality HID kit (stock headlights are crap and I would go so far as to say dangerous to drive with), the wheels and tires are both top of the line, low milage engine and a brand new built transmission ($3k alone iirc), it has all aftermarket fuel lines vs. stock lines up to the firewall which means that you dont need to replace the fuel lines ($200+) when doing a heads/cam kit.

Also forgot to add it has aftermarket engine and transmission mounts.

All those things add up to well over the $1-$3k difference in price you can find and to change these things on another car would take at least 25 work hours, which is significant when compared to the 10 hours of bug sorting this car needs at maximum and in reality it is more likely a hard working 5 hours or a lazy 10. Most of those little things are things I did because I planned to keep the car and drive it for at least another 4 years, but alas business opportunities mean that it would be a poor decision to do so.

Also forgot to mention that the seats and most of the interior on this car are in much better condition than your average FD. I was very particular when selecting the shell and as a result was forced to pay more. My goal with this car was to create something as close to new as possible (on a reasonable budget) thus the quality of the shell, the new mounts, almost new engine and brand new transmission.

I live in Wilmington (just in Raleigh for this summer) and would be happy to lend a hand anytime on the car. I'd love for a local to pick her up so I could see her in action every now and then

Its in Raleigh, but if you were to purchase it I could trailer it down for free. I've got a truck and a friend has a car trailer.
