wow, that is awesome to hear for you GA guys!!! Unfortunately, here in FL you have to pay tax every time a vehicle transfers hands.. Good luck with the sale, the car looks awesome.

that's ridiculous you don't have to pay sales tax. i've heard arizona is the same way. i agree though if you're buying something "used" why pay tax again that's double taxation which is BS

Unfortunately same way in TN. Thats why it is called a sales tax. Each time it is sold you have to pay sales tax. I would have to pay sales tax when I buy the tags for it here. You have to show bill of sale with sales price and tax is based off that. Not the only things we are taxed double on. How about the estate taxes. Another one of my favorite taxes.

Hmmmmm

Not sure if is the same now, but I lived in Atlanta several years ago there were other taxes. While it is true you avoid the sales tax then you had pay a yearly tax on the vehicle. On a GT-3 it would be several hundred dollars, every year!

In California they call it use tax. The tax is also based on the sales price. Must be paid when transferring title at DMV. Transfer between parents and children are exempt from the tax.

and in california you have to pay 'use' tax on the full gross price of a car bought from a dealer even if you are trading in another car...no tax benefits from trading in...

Sales tax on all vehicles new or used is capped at $300 here in S.C. It won't be long before they sew that gape.
