I think he was referring to the supras that actually go out and do some highway racing/drag race etc.. Most of those cars go onto the dyno and you never see them again... Even though Amid's car is doing the mile shortly. Most of these high hp supras are not proven on the street.

That is true...I asked Tommy last year if the owner of the Red TT Supra was entering any of the TX2K events. He was not although I believe that someone was dynoing the car for him.

It seems that he is not interested in actually driving the car, just being able to say that he owns a 1500 hp Supra. It is hard for me to wrap my mind around that concept but I guess I do not understand the super rich.

I've always wondered the longevity of the OEM Getrag handling in excess of 1000whp....

It didnt eat it, 3rd just grinds a tad. At 1000rwhp they are perfect, its over 1300 where they start wearing. Very few people have issues with them.
