FS: 2003 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, Silver/Black, Great condition!
#16
I've owned a fully built M3 (see signature) and I can tell you, unless you're planning to make the BMW a fully modded weekend/track car, you'll get much more out of the E55. It does VERY well in the turns, I was surprised... Due to the air suspension options you have on it.. You can lower it and stiffen it, and above 62mph it lowers itself another 1/2". No M3 or M5 can do that. Plus, the torque in this thing is unreal (516ft/lbs)...
It's faster than my Active Autowerke Stage II Supercharged M3 was I feel, mainly due to the low end power it delivers right out of idle. It's quite something! Oh yeah, 6 piston front brakes, 4 piston rears, tons of great options... And it's very classy, and less expensive than building up a BMW to compete with it in these categories.
Do I have you convinced? I can keep going you know...
Trust me, I loved my M3 and I miss it, but the E55 is much more of a car for the price, I guarantee you that.

Thanks for the info. Didn't seem biased at all
What I need is something a bit better for the winter. I'm looking at BMWs Xi but trust me not a day goes by that I don't look at those pics you posted. Someone is going to be VERY happy.
G/L with the sale!
