Yeah. He has been unenthusiastically trying to sell it for a few months now locally (cause i dont think he listed in autotrader or anything till he sent me that link) and I had asked around to some friends, but now he is about down to the wire with rolling out of town, so I know he pretty much needs to drop it.

It's an option you can get from the factory. It's just for visual preference.

i would tell your buddy to keep it, NYC is the perfect place for a 997 TT, i keep my C4s in NYC as well and it's perfect. Parking is around 500/month and with the cash he's losing on it by selling at that price he could just garage it for a yr or 2 and sell it for around teh same price.
