He put down 35 grand when he bought the car... he drove it less than 5000 km... so he wants some of the initial money he put down... correct me if i am wrong.

sorry if it is hard to understand..I didn't have much time when I wrote it up. I PREPAID my lease for 35k upfront..saved me about 4-5k in lease payments. That means I wrote them the 35k check in the beginning, and they gave me the car for 24 months..I don't make any monthly payments. I want 30k..you get the car until March 2010 and 24k miles.

 

Let me get this straight...you want someone to pay you $30k so that they can drive a car for 10 months (basically 2X the monthly lease amount)? Sounds like a deal to me Unless you mean that the car must be returned in 2011--in which case this may make sense.

 

You need a little help with your math skills. Its roughly 1400/mo with 19500 miles to burn in 21 months.

 

According to this, you only get to keep it for 9 months. 30K/9month = $3333.33. Wow!

How do you not understand this?
It was stated "you get the car until March 2010 and 24k miles". Let me count the months for you:
July, August, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan 2010, Feb, March.

That is 9 months (10 if you count this month). $30k divided by 10 months is $3000 per month. If you re-read my post, I said "Unless you mean that the car must be returned in 2011--in which case this may make sense"

I was just trying to clarify for potential buyers.

 

He leased it in March 2009 for 24 months, therefore, the lease ends in 2011. He made a typo .

 

some of the people on this forum are so quick to start a fit when they aren't even in the market. I said in original post I got it in March 09 and it was for 24 months. The 2010 was a typo....car is to be returned MARCH 2011 WITH 24K MILES. If you are SERIOUS about it then send me a PM. No down payment..no monthly payments..just a flat 30k and the car is yours.
