But is it worth it if the car has passed all EPA DOT requirements? Physically, is there any difference between US spec and Euro? Are any of the mechanical parts different than US spec?

I mean there might be slight things here and there, but nothing real major. However, you lose a warranty which can be important at times.

If the price is right, what does it matter if the car is a Euro with all EPA/DOT releases? Couldn't the car always be shipped back to Europe if you couldn't resell it here? Along those lines, with the dollar as weak as it is against the Euro, this is probably a good buy for someone over there, especially since the VAT hasn't been paid.

The major issue with euro cars has always been warranty. Same with the 360's that flooded in. If I remember correctly, there are a few aftermarket companies that will provide warranties for euro cars that have passed epa and dot.
On another note, car was purchased for $140,000.00 US before shipping, customs, and conversion fees. This was back when the US dollar was still strong against the euro and the GT2's were still over $200,000.00US. So my loss will be someone's gain.
Hopefully this car can be moved soon to make room for a new 360 coupe and a Turbo Cab.
