FS: 2002 996TT – Slate Grey on Black – Fastest K16 hybrid on the board
It breaks my heart to do it, but my wife and I are expecting our first child. Despite my sending her an impressive collection of photos of 911s with child seats in the back, she wasn't convinced, so I have to sell her (the car, not the wife):
Here are the specs:
From the Factory:
2002 996TT – Custom order Slate Grey (not seal grey) on Black Leather
6 speed
66,xxx miles
Factory Navigation (plus Bose and 6 disc changer)
Heated Sport Seats with color matched backs
carbon fiber shifter (the special turbo one) and carbon fiber e-brake,
color matched center console,
Full Leather
White gauges
60,000 mile service performed at dealer ($2k including plugs and brake fluid flush)
Not from the Factory (cost when new in brackets including install):
EPL K16/16g kit – one month of custom tuning by Tony himself to dial in the tune ($5,000)
Speedtech 60mm Exhaust ($2,000)
Clutchmasters Stage 3 Clutch ($3,000)
18" Champion RG5's with new Michelin Pilot Sports ($5,500)
Stock wheels with new Sumitomo HTR Z III ($600 for new tires)
Bosh upgraded 710N by-pass valves ($100)
997 GT3 shifter ($150)
Confirmed 7.01 Second 60-130 time (on 100% 93 octane gas)
500awhp and 565awtq
OVER $16,000 in after market modifications
The miles are all highway roadtrips (I take the train to and from work from NJ to NYC) and the car still feels like new. It has practically every option. The car has never been RWD (not even for dyno testing). Tony calls it the factory freak. My goal for the build was stock like manners with brutal power. The car has no lag, a friendly clutch, a non-intrusive exhaust, etc. You can drive your grandma to church and then go rip a 60-130 as fast as an Enzo.
Asking $45k with mods, $42k with stock exhaust and stock wheels. Not interested in any offers in the 30s. I will spring for a full detail by the board's own Philip Yiu (detailer's domain: http://www.detailersdomain.com) prior to sale. Have title in hand.
Will also consider interesting trades for something with 4 doors, an automatic transmission and all wheel/4 wheel drive (Acura MDX, Range Rover LR3, Audi Q7)

looks nice
Don't be discouraged by all the tire kickers looking at Manheim pricing.
They can't get a car like yours
it will cost more once they add in action fees, transportation, broker fees, and recon ,and have to buy with out any PPI. They won't buy those either.
Then they tell you about the miles Blah, Blah, ... buying your car and miles is a much safer bet than some garage queen that surely will need service and be then be afraid to drive because added miles will diminish value..... that is really nuts since these will never be collector cars (too many built and sold)
MY 02 for those who want to low ball a nicely set up driver.
good luck with the sale I think ?

I'm pretty sure I've seen you driving around Sepulveda/Mulholland area. I think your wheels looks nice on your car. A lot of people have those champs around here and your wheels make your car stand out.
