In only a few sentences:
- Had some cats that were prototypes.
- They got hot and started falling apart... shooting out the back of the pipes.
- Engine broke right then. Assumedly, some shrapnel got sucked up into the head. Instead of paying to find out what happened, I got a new engine. It only has a few hundred miles on it, and is really strong.

I'm with you, TopCarbon. I've actually spread the word around a bit on your car!

Sure, you could buy a stock car for substantially less. That's good for going to McDonalds. But if you really want to have a car that's thoroughly upgraded that has true documentation that it's better than a 997 GT3 or a 600HP turbo, the upcharge over the saltine ******* 997 is so little it's silly.

This is definitely a great deal. I've actually tried to talk myself into considering this car because I know it's one of the best deals out there on all the upgrades, especially since it's close by(all the super nice cars are always in cali). I'd buy it, even though I could, but I just can't justify spending more than $50k on a car, period. Being in the market for a 996turbo, it doesn't seem like a whole lot more for the mods than you'd spend on a perfect low mileage turbo which can be just under 50, but then again I've got a lead on a 01 turbo with HRE's and a few turbo upgrades for 31k which makes me think there's no way I could spend double that.

Don't take this the wrong way, but there is NO COMPARISON between a 996 Turbo and this finely tuned 997. (even modded, they are a dime a dozen, as well as,.....well it's a 996...no offense anybody but 996's are not considered Porsche's greatest achievements)
Even from a pure aesthetics standpoint, this 997 blows away ANY 996 Turbo I've ever seen and I can guarantee you the ride in this 997 would also blow away any Turbo.
Since you're close, it would be worth the drive to personally check out this car. If I were in the market, this would be the first car I bought, even over a 997 GT3...it's just that good with the motons and all the extra goodies.

I understand completely. I agree that a 996 turbo or really any other car obtainable anywhere near this price range won't compare to this finely tuned 997.
I was basically just saying that it's not worth it for me personally to spend that much on any car, period, but this is the one car that has temped me to go way outside of my budget. It's kinda like if you had a couple hundred thousand in savings, and you could purchase a new Bugatti Veyron or Ferrari Enzo for $200k (without the option of ever selling for profit). It's definitely worth the money and what a great deal it would be, but is it worth clearing out the majority of your savings? I kinda feel like that but on a much smaller scale.

What kind of JL subs? What kind of JL amps?
Can you post pictures of them as well?
Is the custom box easily removable for HPDE?
