FS BMW HP2 Sport 1 of 40 in USA

I have my 2008 BMW HP2 Sport up for sale. This bike it truly amazing. It has great ride qualities, super smooth, fast and incredibly stable. Just like a BMW should be! Bike has just under 400 miles, and has an original sticker price of nearly 26k. I have attached all the images of the bike. It is absolutely perfect, no issues whatsoever. As mentioned in the title I am told there are less than 40 of these in the country, extremely rare and bound to hold their value very well.

The bike is very interesting because like the IndyCars I race it has flat shift. This means you dont have to use the clutch, nor lift to upshift! Its absolutely fantastic to ride, so smooth and comforting. I rode it home from the MotoGP race in Indianapolis to Columbus and it was incredible on the highways. For the cabron junkies every single body panel is carbon fiber, and as you will see in the pics there is a lot of exposed carbon which looks awesome! Lots of very cool billet aluminum parts on the bike which look very cool, and of course the cool carbon rocker covers!

I am looking for 21.5k for it. I am open to all reasonable offers. Again I am not desperate to sell this, so if the price isnt right, i wont accept it! Thanks

Thanks on the M3. Bike is absolutely stunning. I am not on S14.net

Bike is not an automatic. Flat shift is a sensor in the shifting unit that cuts the engine, thus allowing the bike to shift. You could use a clutch like normal, and to get the bike moving and to stop you use a clutch like normal as well.

So it's sort of like an smg unit for bikes? Sorry trying to understand what a flat shift is like plus i don't fully see the benefit of it aside from one less thing to think about?

No, nothing like SMG. The typical flat shift setup just kills the ignition for a split second, taking the load off the transmission so you can upshift with your foot like you normally do.

Without the flat shift, if you are trying to haul a$$ up through the gears, you need to at least partially engage the clutch lever with a light 2 finger pull, roll off the throttle a hair, upshift, then roll back onto the throttle. WITH flat shift, you don't roll off the throttle and you don't dip into the clutch, provided that your bike has a pretty smooth gearbox to begin with.

Anyways, free bump for the seller. Nice bike!

Wow this is an amazing machine. Nice transmission too. So is it, the only time you don't have to use the clutch like a normal manual, is when upshifting/downshifting at speed? and you would still use it normally coming from a stop?

What kind of engine does it have? How much HP? What's the curb weight?

Anyone interested at 20.5k. There are other bikes on ebay but they have far more miles. This bike is perfect, who knows if the same can be said about the others.
