Last week I took the car to Hendrick Motors in Charlotte and had them go over the entire car and repair/replace anything in need of attention. Everything checked out with the exception of the rear shocks which were both replaced. My service writer agreed that he would speak with any seriously interested party about the car.
Interior (New AMG mats included - I have them and never installed them):

Beautiful Benz
Like many if something of mine would sell I'd buy your E55 Estate in a flash. The car looks superb in the auction photos and the AMG magic really stands out. It must be hard to part with--but sometimes if you linger something hideous starts happening--like your 17 yo son pleads for the keys to the station wagon . It should sell easily, the price is great, the color is amazing, the car is essentially flawless, and the estates are so few and far between. Best of luck with the sale.
